Matrixyl™ 3000 is an active ingredient that contains matrikines - peptide molecules that facilitate cutaneous restructuring and repair by activating the genes involved in the process of intercellular matrix renewal and cell proliferation. Through this activity, the matrikines effectively restructure and smooth the surface and deeper layers of the skin, which results in a drastic reduction of the depth, density and surface area of wrinkles.
Whilst producing significant and scientifically proven anti-wrinkle benefits, Matrixyl™ 3000 has also been shown to improve skin tone and elasticity.
Solubility: Sparingly soluble in water.
Recommendations: Use 1-3% in formulations. Efficacy studies have been carried out at 3% which means that if you are seeking to make claims based on this ingredient you will need the higher level.
Applications: Use as an active ingredient in cosmetics.
