Detoxifying Clay Mask Recipe

 

Application:

  • Detoxifying clay mask for all skin types.
     
  • Zeolite Ultra Fine Clay: Zeolite is a mineral that gives off negatively charged ions. It is this unique chemical characteristic of attracting positively charged ions that allows a chemical reaction to occur and neutralize toxic matter. Zeolite has the ability to absorb, store and neutralize toxins making it a valuable detoxifying ingredient for beauty and spa products. It is rich in silicon, calcium, potassium and iron.
     
  • Neroli Floral Water: Neroli floral water increases circulation and stimulates new cell growth. It can prevent scarring and stretch marks, and has been found useful in treating skin conditions linked to emotional stress. Any type of skin can benefit from Neroli essential oil, although it is particularly good for dry, irritated or sensitive skin.
     
  • Vegetable Glycerine: Vegetable Glycerine has a rich oily texture, but is Water soluble. Because it is derived entirely from vegetable oil, it is Hypoallergenic and safe for all cosmetic purposes. Vegetable Glycerine moisturizes and cleanses skin, and has emollient and lubricating properties.
     
  • Grapefruit Seed Extract: Extracted from the fruit peels, pulp and seeds of the grapefruit plant. Grapefruit seed extract is used as an anti-oxidant, antiseptic and disinfectant in cosmetics. Grapefruit seed extract is also non-toxic, environmentally safe, and quickly bio-degradable.
     
  • Lemon Essential Oil: Lemon has been historically recognized as a cleanser. It is recognized as being antiseptic and as having refreshing and cooling properties. Lemon is highly prized for its high anti-bacterial properties. On skin and hair it can be used for its cleansing effect, as well as for treating cuts and boils.
     
  • Bergamot Essential Oil (Bergaptene Free): Bergamot oil is known to have good antiseptic and antibiotic therapeutic properties and is therefore helpful in relieving problematic skin conditions. It is further indicated such skin conditions can be linked to stress. On a psychological level bergamot can relieve anxiety and has mood lifting qualities. The therapeutic properties of bergamot oil are valuable when you wish to relieve acne, seborrhoea, minor wounds and skin ulcers.
     

Ingredients:

  • 30g Zeolite clay
  • 50ml Neroli floral water
  • 10 drops Grapefruit seed extract
  • 1g Vegetable glycerine
  • 2 drops Bergamot essential oil (Bergaptene free)
  • 1 drop Lemon essential oil

Equipment:

  • 200mL Measuring Jug or Beaker
  • Spatula
  • 1ml pipette or measured dropper
  • 1 x 100ml Amber boston round PET jar
  • 1 x 70mm black Bakelite caps

Instructions:

  • Mix the floral water with the clay until it has turned into a smooth paste.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients and mix it properly
  • Store in a cool environment

Directions For Use:

  • Apply the mask to face avoiding eye area
  • Leave on for 10 minutes and wash off with warm water

Storage:

  • For immediate use. Store in a cool environment away from direct sunlight & use within a few weeks. If extended storage is required, please ensure adequate levels of preservatives, antioxidants or other additives are used according to your individual requirements.
