Did you know? Lavender plants are very resistant. Some lavender plants can provide a crop even at 40 years old. However, for commercial purposes and to reach an efficient yield, growers will usually refresh their crop approximately every 5 years. A good yield is to obtain 1kg essential Oil from 60-70kg fresh lavender flowers. This depends on many factors such as weather, state of the plants and distillery conditions. Sometimes more than 90-100Kg of flowers may be required to produce 1kg essential oil.

Suggested Storage: Stored at temperature <30°C in closed containers and protected from direct sunlight.

100% true to the botanical name, GMO free, Non-Radiated, Preservative Free, Vegan Friendly, Petrochemical Free

Supplier information: They work with one of the biggest producers of Lavender seedlings and they use only their seedlings to guarantee pure Lavandula Angustifolia varieties with a good balance between excellent quality and acceptable yields. Small to medium growers they work with follow the organic regulation and are audited and tested constantly by their certifier. Choosing organic for a farmer is not an easy task as they face many challenges such as lower yield and more expensive organic fertilisers. However, the agricultural activity especially growing in an organic way is more environmentally friendly. Concerning the distillation – They try to utilise the lavender waste for compost. The use of natural gas instead of diesel is another step taken in one of the distilleries. The others still need some local infrastructure before implementing natural gas.
