Ingredients: Caffeine
WARNING: Concentrated caffeine powder should be stored well away from food preparation areas to avoid accidental ingestion. Ingestion of caffeine powder can cause heart failure.
Our Caffeine powder is a synthetic caffeine of high purity for cosmetic use.
Solubility: Water soluble
Appearance: white powder.
Benefits:

Recommendations: It may be useful in anti-ageing and slimming.
Applications: There have been various studies looking at caffeine in skin care using doses up to 5% but we recommend using between 0.1-0.5% in topical products due to the fact that high levels of caffeine can have a dehydrating effect on the skin and as such any benefits from using the caffeine may start to be lost.
Notes on dermal penetration: Caffeine can penetrate the skin and clinical trials commonly record penetration into the blood stream of between 2-10% of the applied dose. How much caffeine is absorbed depends on the base formula, the dose you use and the site you apply it to. Follicular delivery is effective and is why many people add Caffeine to hair care formulations.
Cautions: Not to be used in products for children. Be cautious when using during pregnancy. Caffeine levels should be monitored at this time and kept to within recommended guidelines.
